Jen is an amazing singer, musician, and songwriter. From her solo stuff to her work with The Postal Service—it’s all awesome. With her new record, she’s stepping out of her comfort zone in a lot of ways, including asking for help on Kickstarter. A while back, Jen asked me to think about adding some chiptune melodies over her piano-heavy new songs. It was a whacky idea that shouldn’t have worked, but for some reason, it does. I’ve been involved in the making of this record for a while now, along with a handful of super-talented musicians and producers. It’s going to be great.
